Health Data Analytics and Management Training is clearly an important contribution toward the development and maintenance of health worker competencies for delivering quality services. Approaches to make training more effective, efficient and sustainable are, therefore, of paramount importance.
The Heath Data Academy (HDA) provides an approach to training with a focus on the competencies and skills of Healthcare providers (HCPs) to manage health data in Kenya. The main aim is to bridge the gap required by some of the deficiencies in the training curriculum, as well as some gaps occasioned by changes in policies and procedures in the management of healthcare in the country.
The main areas covered include:
- Training on KEPH
- Terminology services
- Shared digital utilities
- Health information systems
- Data analytics and visualization
- Health data governance
